White Clay: benefits and how to include it in your skincare!
White clay is one of the best-known skin care products. It can be used to make face masks and has a number of benefits.

White clay: Benefits
White clay that we use on the skin, which comes in powder , is nothing more than a product composed of small silicate particles. In this specific case, it also has aluminium. Among all available clays, white is among the lightest, as it has a pH close to that of our skin. In other words, it can be used on all skin types, including sensitive ones.
It promises to revitalize the skin, help lighten blemishes, smooth and heal, and help reduce inflammation. It also helps to renew the skin, as it does a light exfoliation. It also removes oil without dehydrating and absorbs toxins and impurities.
White clay: How to use
To use white clay on the skin, the procedure is always the same. You mix the clay with water until it turns into a paste.
If, after applying it to the skin, I notice that the clay is drying very quickly and crumbling, I spray a little more thermal water over it. After that, rinse normally with water and finish.
Clay and essential oils
If you want to spice up your mask with essential oils, you can look for the one that suits you best. To use, you prepare the mask in the same way, but add a few drops of oil (don't overdo it, two or three are enough) together and mix. The essential oils that are more easily found – and used for this – are usually lavender (soothes and relaxes the skin), lemongrass (good for reducing skin oiliness), tea tree (good acne prone skin, as it has healing and antiseptic power).
You can also mix in more than one oil – if your skin is sensitive from some unexpected pimples, you can mix in a few drops of lavender oil and a few drops of tea tree oil. In addition to the ones I mentioned, there are many other essential oils and I guarantee that some of them will suit your skin's needs.
Benefits
White clay is known to be a calming active for the skin. Furthermore, when removing the product from the face with water, you end up doing a light exfoliation as well. This helps to remove dead skin cells and leave the skin feeling soft and renewed.
I usually do this mask once or twice a week, depending on my skin's needs or availability. Masks can be made on all skin types.
